About me

A Glimpse Into My Vision

I’m Daisy Lira, the founder of The Hive Education and the heart behind our growing family of early childhood learning centers, including Bumble Bee Learning Center, Brilliant Bees Learning Center, New Mexico Children First, and our upcoming La Colmena Academy.

For over 20 years, I’ve been working in early childhood education, driven by a passion for creating spaces where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. Along the way, I’ve had the opportunity to expand access to quality care for families in Santa Teresa, Sunland Park, and Chaparral, something that continues to mean so much to me.

At The Hive Education, everything we do is centered around nurturing curious minds and kind hearts. My goal has always been to help children grow into confident, creative, and caring individuals, while supporting the families and communities we serve every step of the way.

Where My Vision Comes to Life

At Bumble Bee Learning Center, we offer a five star, full day program designed to support children at every stage of early development. Our programs include daycare, Early Pre-K, Pre-K, and afterschool care.

We focus on creating age appropriate, engaging experiences that support each child’s cognitive development, physical growth, and social and emotional well being.

Through our partnership with La Clinica de Familia, we also offer Early Head Start, providing additional support for young children and expecting mothers. One of the things that makes Bumble Bee special is our Rattlesnake Lounge, a space where children can relax, work on homework, and connect with their peers after school.

At Brilliant Bees Learning Center, I’ve created an environment where children’s natural curiosity can truly shine. We balance child led exploration with guided learning, allowing each child to grow at their own pace while building confidence and independence.

Our programs include daycare, Early Pre-K, Pre-K, and afterschool care, all designed to encourage creativity, strengthen cognitive skills, and support positive social interaction. We believe children learn best through meaningful, hands-on experiences that make learning both fun and purposeful.

At New Mexico Children First Learning Center, we proudly serve families in Sunland Park and the surrounding community by offering high quality care for children from infancy through school age.

Our programs include infant and toddler care, two year old classrooms, preschool prep, and Pre-K programs. My goal has always been to provide families with reliable, affordable options while giving every child a strong educational foundation.

We focus on creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can grow academically and develop a lifelong love of learning. At the same time, we support their social, emotional, and physical development to ensure they are fully prepared for Kindergarten and beyond.

Coming Soon: La Colmena Academy – 

I’m excited to continue growing this vision with the upcoming launch of La Colmena Academy, a new center that will further expand access to high quality early childhood education in our community.
